Defibrillator Fundraiser – 31 August

Congratulations to Jimmy on completing the 18 mile walk in 5 hrs and 52 seconds.  The winner, who guessed the exact time, was Magaret Vallance.  £343 has been raised so far towards a Defibrillator.
Thanks to Jimmy and all who contributed.
A further £100 has been donated by Jimmy through his dog walking and the Inverkip Hotel have very generously contributed another £200. The total now stands at £643.

As a fundraiser for a defibrillator to be available at the Church Hall, I intend doing the Inverclyde Stride Walk, Parklea to the Inverkip Hub, 18 miles on Saturday 31st August, starting at 9 am.
Instead of being sponsored, members of the congregation are asked to have a guess at how long I will take. £1 per guess and money put in an envelope with Time, Name and Telephone number in one of the envelopes provided on the pews and left on the pew or at exit doors each Sunday up until 31 August.
No money donations to me personally please.
Winner of the nearest guess to the actual time taken will receive 2 tickets for The Glasgow Central Station tour. Have as many ‘ shots’ as you like for a very worthwhile and necessary cause.
Anyone can take part in the walk and if 18 miles is a step too far there is a shorter 4 mile alternative from Lunderston Bay at 2 pm and also finishing at Inverkip Hub.
