Ewen was voted in as our new Session Clerk at the Session meeting on 13 January 2021, taking over from David Rourke.
Deputy Session Clerk:
Morag was sworn in as our new Deputy Session Clerk at the Session meeting on 30 September 2015.
Jac has been a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) since 2004. Her responsibility is to handle funds, keep records and produce the annual report and accounts for the Church.
The Minute Secretary works closely with the Session Clerk at Session meetings to ensure an accurate record is made of the discussions that take place and decisions made.
Douglas keeps the Communicant roll up to date and also the Elder’s district books.
Gift Aid Convenor:
In conjunction with the Treasurer, Norrie completes the quarterly gift aid return and sends to HMRC.
The FWO co-ordinator organises the distribution of freewill envelopes at the beginning of each year via Elders. Anyone wishing to donate via weekly envelopes, please contact Rosemary or their Elder.
Jean ensures the website is kept up to date with relevant information. Please pass on to Jean anything you would like published on the website.
Lynne keeps the Facebook page updated with all current information about the Church activities and the wider work of the church. Please copy Lynne on any items to be included.
The property group are responsible for carrying out small repairs and maintenance on the halls, church and Manse. They meet on a Tuesday evening and always welcome any offers of assistance.
Presbytery Elder (Elected by the Session):
The Presbytery Elder represents the interests of Inverkip Church at monthly Presbytery meetings.
Organist & Choirmaster:
Siona plays for both the 10 am service at Inverkip Church and the 11.30 am service at Skelmorlie & Wemyss Bay Church. She holds a choir practice at Inverkip Church Hall, Bonomy Room on Wednesday evenings.
Sunday School Teacher:
All Sunday school teachers have Disclosure Scotland checks
Stuart edits the quarterly church newsletter and always welcomes contributions. Deadlines for contributions for each publication are advertised in the weekly intimations, the website and Facebook page.
Hall & Flower Convenor:
Joyce coordinates the bookings for the church hall. Anyone wishing to book the hall for a one-off or regular event should contact Joyce in the first instance.
Joyce also coordinates church flowers, including the distribution of flowers after Worship which is always appreciated by the recipient. Anyone wishing to donate flowers, please contact Joyce.

Carol ensures that all those in the church who work with children have the relevant Disclosure documentation and she keeps us up to date with changes in legislation and guidelines from the Church of Scotland.
Mission & Outreach Co-ordinator:
The Mission and Outreach group organise social and fundraising events which are vital for the ongoing work of the Church. They aim to keep the people of Inverkip up to date with church events through the website, facebook and the newsletter. They also co-ordinate the distribution of the Parish Christmas card and arrange welcome packs for new people moving into the village.
Pastoral Care Co-ordinator:

The Pastoral Care Group is made up of both men and women and all have completed Safeguarding Training and all are PVG checked. They provide support through visiting people at home, hospital or nursing homes. They also support people attending hospital or Doctor’s appointments and provide transport to and from church.

The Worship Group provide a valuable contribution to worship in the Church. They are also very involved with the Soul Searching All-Age Worship which is held on the last Sunday of the month at 6.30 pm, alternating between Inverkip and Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Churches. The Group is also involved with worship at Easter and Christmas.
