Eco Congregation

Two members of the Church Eco group attended the annual Keep Scotland Beautiful It’s Your Neighbourhood seminar and awards in Stirling on 31 October 2018. The day was packed with presentations from speakers from many very inspirational projects across the country with the emphasis very much on the Year of Young People, including local young person Mhairi McCann who is a YoYP Ambassador.
The group were delighted to be awarded with their Level 4 - Thriving certificate following the assessors visit during the summer.

The church Eco Group was delighted to be awarded the Silver award from Eco Congregation Scotland and has just received their beautiful plaque (made from recycled church pews). The group were particularly commended for their commitment & enthusiasm for involvement in both church & community activities and their continued efforts to keep local beaches clean. They were also commended for their involvement in the Inverclyde Fair Trade Steering Group. Thanks to all group members for their efforts and to the continued support of the congregation.
